I met Kristie and Matt several years ago when I shot their wedding in Riviera Maya in Mexico. THAT was a blast. I think there may be some of those on this blog. I’ll have to add the link :). Anyhow, they are just one of the sweetest couples and now they have these three adorable girls. To watch them all function as a family is simply endearing, to say the least. Each of the girls has such a distinct personality and they are all just magical to watch play together.
I really wanted to shoot at sunset at beautiful Casper Bluff here in Galena, IL and it turned out to be such a great day for it- though the poor girls were covered in mosquitoes at the end of the session and we were chased out. Vicious critters.
Owen….he likes books. I don’t mean that he reads a little. I mean that this guy lugged in a couple suitcases worth of books because he REALLY loves books. I really had fun coming up with ways to use this giant collection of his to showcase his interests. We shot at the Galena Public Library, of course. He also plays sax and his request was that he really wanted some night light street scene playing his sax. YES. I LOVE shooting at nighttime in Galena. There are so many colors and a great variety of ambient light down Main ST. I was amped for it. I’d love to do more of these night time senior portraits.
